Module Syllabus Overview

The module is focussed on the procedural requirements for civil litigation. Module covers where the sources of procedural law are found, navigating the jurisdiction of the courts, what happens during the pre-litigation phase, the litigation phase as well as that of judgment. Also included are preparation for trial. trial costs and variation & rescission of judgements.

This module has a multiple choice (MCQ) exam as well as two assessments. The two assessments combined have a marking weight of 20% and the exam carries 80% of the marks.

This module is at the NQF 7 level and is worth 12 credits.
