Module Syllabus Overview
This module looks at specific crimes, and introduces the most commonly encountered ones. You will learn about specific types of crimes, their requirements, definitions as well as any grounds of justification or defence against the accusation of the crime.
This module has a multiple choice (MCQ) exam as well as two assessments. The two assessments combined have a marking weight of 20% and the exam carries 80% of the marks.
This module is at the NQF 6 level and is worth 12 credits.

- Sexual crimes
- Theft
- Robbery
- Fraud
- Property damage
- Housebreaking
- Crimes against public welfare
- Crimes against the administration of justice
- Crimes against bodily integrity
