Module Syllabus Overview

This module introduces basic accounting principles, with specific emphasis on those principles that are applicable to legal practitioners. You will learn about the basic accounting equation (BAE), journals, ledgers and trust accounts.

This module has a multiple choice (MCQ) exam as well as two assessments. The two assessments combined have a marking weight of 20% and the exam carries 80% of the marks.

This module is at the NQF 5 level and is worth 12 credits.
