Module Syllabus Overview
The module covers all the aspects related to African customary law. You will learn about the laws regarding customary marriages, how the law of succession applies, how customary leadership operates, how the customary courts work as well as the background into cultural traditions of African people.
This module has a multiple choice (MCQ) exam as well as two assessments. The two assessments combined have a marking weight of 20% and the exam carries 80% of the marks.
This module is at the NQF 6 level and is worth 12 credits.
