Module Syllabus Overview
This module covers the aspects related to the law of succession. You will learn about the requirements to make a valid will, how to amend and revoke a will, as well as how wills can be rescued. In addition the module covers how succession takes place intestate or testate, who can inherit, who is disqualified from inheriting, the difference between heirs and legatees, time and condition clauses and more.
This module has a multiple choice (MCQ) exam as well as two assessments. The two assessments combined have a marking weight of 20% and the exam carries 80% of the marks.
This module is at the NQF 6 level and is worth 12 credits.
